Kaikou Support

Kaikou is an iPhone keyboard with voice input and translation, made by Baichen Wang ("Basion"), an individual developer.

Getting started

1. Open the Kaikou app and follow the setup.
2. In iOS Settings → Kaikou → Keyboards, turn on Kaikou and Allow Full Access (needed for voice and translation; the keyboard never sends what you type unless you use an online feature).
3. In any app, long-press the 🌐 key and choose Kaikou. Hold the space bar to talk.

Common questions

The keyboard doesn't show up. Check Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards and make sure Kaikou is added; then switch with the 🌐 key.

Voice says "Mic disconnected" or "Turn on Allow Full Access". Turn on Allow Full Access and Microphone for Kaikou in iOS Settings, then reopen the keyboard.

"No network" or "Network timed out". Online voice and translation need an internet connection. On-device typing still works offline.

I hit the daily limit. The free tier includes 20 minutes of online voice and 30 translations a day; limits reset daily. Kaikou Pro raises them.

Manage or cancel my subscription. iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Restore my purchase on a new phone. In the app: Settings → Kaikou Pro → Restore Purchases.

Delete my account and data. In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Or email us.

Change the app language. Settings → About → Language.
