By downloading or using Kaikou you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Kaikou provides a keyboard, voice-to-text and translation. Online features rely on third-party AI providers and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unavailable. AI output may contain errors; check important text (legal, medical, financial, safety) before sending. Translations faithfully reflect what you say, including informal or strong language.
Use Kaikou lawfully. Do not use it to harass others, to process content you have no right to, or to attack, scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the service. You are responsible for what you send with the keyboard.
The free tier includes unlimited on-device typing and daily limits on online features (currently 20 minutes of online voice and 30 translations per day). Kaikou Pro raises these limits (currently up to 1 hour of online voice per day and higher translation limits). Limits reset daily and may change with notice in the app. We may suspend accounts or devices used abusively.
Sign-in is optional (email one-time code). You can delete your account in the app at any time; this permanently removes your account data, and signing in again with the same email creates a new account.
The app is licensed, not sold. Open-source components (including the rime-ice dictionary under GPL-3.0 and Noto Serif SC under OFL 1.1) are governed by their own licenses, listed in Settings → Open-Source Licenses.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Kaikou in the 12 months before the claim.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app. We may stop offering the service with reasonable notice; active subscribers will be told how to cancel.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
